I’m an award-winning journalist with 15 years of writing and editing experience. I write about health, fitness, parenting and sports with a little pop culture mixed in, because who doesn’t like a little rock ’n’ roll with their workouts and errand-running?

I’ve worked as a copy editor in news, features and sports, as an assistant sports editor, layout editor, sports writer and staff reporter. I also occasionally shoot photos and video for assignments.

I’m also a golf pro’s wife, an athlete, a music lover, an amateur photographer, an Atlanta Braves fan, a reader, a cochlear implant awareness volunteer, and a college football fan.

I occasionally speak to groups about my family’s journey from silence to sound through cochlear implants.

During my days as a newspaper copy editor, I was the resident pop culture expert.
